Interesting.
We made a difference, so we have: goths (listen to gothic metal and are emotionally unstable-cry a lot but are very artistic) and metalheads (black or camo clothes, chains...we divided them by the metal they listen-deathers, heavy, blackers, trashers...).

I was wondering because I have seen (in movies of course) that people in America call goth every young person wearing black and/or a pentagram.

Wrong.. ^_^ Goth came from the punk era (1980) adopting the gothic style of europe.. -_-. Now, there is many varieties, and most popular right at this moment are the so called "emoes". The colors use more for the typical stereotype of a goth are black, brown, gray, blue and red, though they are still combine with other colors to give a personal touch as per say they want to express their uniqueness. Most teens tend to become "goth" because they do not want to fitting or they want to belong. (of course, I am talking about this by experience, I being label as one though i do not use black because I want to... is my job uniform :P, also I prefer blue and white). Others, just because like how it looks or are attracted to the music. I have met so many wannabes saying they are something just because they dress and act as one, but in reality they do not have sense of themselves since they lost their own uniqueness by labeling themselves one. ^_^ They should prefer others to label them and not care about it. Plus, the style has become a fashion more than anything. This causes a misunderstanding. And I am very disappointed to say that people who think that goths need to wear black to be consider one is just funny and idiotic. Shakespeare writing is Gothic and well accepted. Also goths are freethinkers and not dark and gloomy as many has come to think. They are creative people with philosophical ideas. DO NOT LABEL YOURSELVES and IF YOU ARE GOING TO DO SO do it RIGHT. ^_^ for real, being goth is not a phase in life, is a lifestyle you choose to have through life. Most teenagers come to think they are one just because is cool.

I know they are not emos but they cry all the time for no good reason. It just makes me hurt them like genuine emos
