Music is actually a pretty common method that you can use to raise energy for magical practiceand spellwork. I most commonly see drum beats used.The rhythmic drum beats act much the same way as chanting. The hypnotic effect they have can allow us to better focus on the magic we plan on working. The drum beats generate energy and this can then be built up and directed toward our goal.
Music, in general, can do much the same thing. Music can have an emotional effect on us and serve as a stimulus to generate emotions that we can put into our spells. Music can evoke feelings of happiness, sadness, and even anger. These emotions can then be used and directed to fuel spells.
Dance goes hand in hand with music and drumming. Play recorded drum beats or music as you dance around the circle or your sacred space. The combination can be used to raise and then direct energy for your spells. Raise the energy and then when you feel it reach its peak, direct it outward toward your intended goal, much like you would when creating a cone of power.
