Retired covens?

I was looking through the spellbooks section of the website when I saw some spellbooks for covens that weren't on the coven list. Being curious, I clicked on them, and followed the link to their coven in their spellbook, and it said that the coven was retired. The question that I now have is this: Can retired covens be taken over or revived, or are they closed for good? Just curious. :)

Retired coven are closed permanently and cannot be taken over. Only the covens on "Inactive Covens" can be applied to be taken over.
