uh has anybody noticed?

Has anyone noticed that some spells on here are from the series "Charmed"?

Yes, many of us have noticed. A few months ago, literally every thread for a week was about how most of the spells were from some fantasy series or other.

Sorry i didnt know if anybody had noticed or they had a thread about it...

Sadly, that's what happens when you have an open resource page where anyone can write their own stuff in it. You'll get trolls.

not only do they get it from a fantasy series they also get them from movies they've seen like the craft or a spell from 5 girls..who knws where else they'll get them from not that its bad but its not always good either.

In the words of at least one great "thinker" of a couple of thousand years ago. "Forgive them, for they know not what they do".

Yep, I'm not looking forward to the new witch series coming out this fall, "Secret Circle" I believe it is called. I will be watching a few episodes, just so that I can spot the ones that take the series as factual. Urgh...

The biggest problem is that the writers of these Tv and movie series, do tend to read up on witchcraft and and the occult, and often insert some actual reality into the scripts! We should be vigilant and point out these "realities".

I think everyone noticeses, it gets very annoying. TV series and books on Wicca or Witchcraft do attract plenty of fluff- but wouldnt it do the magickal community good to teach them right from wrong? Good points: It attracts new practicioners. Bad points: It attracts lots of fluff who believe fake spells.
