A few days ago a friend told me that only people who have the Sight can be a witch, wizard, etc. I don't have the Sight, but i have successfully cast spells. This makes no sense to me, can someone please explain?
But she said I didn't have the Sight at all, and she sounded very sure of herself. She said if I wanted to get the Sight I would have to do a bunch of things I can't remember to gain their trust ("their" being faeries, other magickal creatures, spirits, etc.)
By sight she probably means having your third eye open, which i have heard lets you learn magic faster, see the unseen(like faeries probably), see auras, and possibly even get better results at magic. im not entirely sure. youre friend doesnt know everything after all lol. being right, and thinking youre right can seem like the same thing until you are proven wrong. if anyone can elaborate, or if i got something wrong, feel free to correct me.
Ya I would agree that the reference to sight is talking about the "Third eye", which is also refered to as the minds eye. It is in the mind that the basis of magic exists and from the mind in how its use returns visible results. It is not impossible to learn with this chakara closed but keep in mind that sheer human will power without the focus of ur energy will only get you so far.To open your third eye I would recomend meditation. There are seven chakaras (basically specific places where energy are stored, each one has a different significance), I would suggest googling them(be sure to compare at least 2-3 different sites)so that you can get an understanding of them, but more relevnt to you and your situation so u can visualize them in your body. After you have done ur research and begun to meditate yourself into the right mindset, begin to visualize your energy pumping through each individual chakara taking a moment on each one to fill them up so to speak, I would suggest starting at the Crown chakara. Practice in doing this will eventually end up with the opening of ur third eye.
