Are there real oracles in this world? If there are I would like to ask an oracle about something important, if you are an oracle or know any that is willing to help me, please let me know. Thank you
Many people can give your readings on a potential future via tarot, runes, pendulums, scrying etc, but it is only a possible future and anything could potentially change it.
There is such a thing as an Oracle, but it's not what you think. It's not someone sitting on a carpet scattering bones as their eyes turn white ( threw that out there since most people think of that ). An Oracle is a form of future telling. Their are a few different kinds. I myself have one. Mine is called : The Celtic Wisdom Oracle and it doesn't come with bones XD. It's a pack of cards, there are two sets, which each give you a different answer. Oracle's are a good way to "read into your future", but they don't give you a straight forward answer, it's supposed to make you think. Also the "answers" are NOT set in stone, you can change most of the outcome.
Now that I explained what it is, if you would like to get a reading, since I have it next to me, I shall offer you one
While the oracle cards mentioned above are a great form of cartomancy, they are not an Oracle.
An Oracle is an advisor and someone who works with their deity to provide prophecy. I am sure there are oracles in this day and age, but they are smaller in scale for their fame than oracles of older times.
An oracle is a person who has turned themselves into a form of divination. Just as you use Tarot cards to channel divine energy of sorts you go to an Oracle for practically the same thing. Through some sort of what's usually a ritual, a person formally welcomes a divine source into their body. Oracles don't just tell fortune. Historically they're frequently consulted for their wisdom as they are seen as direct forms of communication with deities. Becoming an Oracle might be seen as a bit more difficult than just scrying up an answer because doing so generally requires creating and maintaining a personal bond with a divine entity.
