My name is Kelley and I am definitely a beginner. I was raised in an traditional Irish American Catholic household with parents who were terrified of anything "occult." However, I was always drawn to practicing magic and have be lucky to have such a non judgmental nature. Even with the fear, my mother would talk of her grandmother being able to predict accurately with tea leaves. I always have been drawn to the tarot and have predicted my own life to pretty shocking accuracy at times. I could always predict my pregnancies ( I have 5 kids), the gender, if good things were headed my way or to steer clear of others.I suspect that I am an empath. I am very sensitive to other's feelings and emotions and can "feel" the energy as soon as I meet someone. I'm not so skilled and attributing where this energy or circumstance comes from and would like to hone that. This makes me kind of a homebody and introvert.
I have been able to predict when my kids are sick, or if my husband was in physical trouble. I've had 2 lucid dreams of relatives that have passed within a few days of their deaths with specific messages. I've had some dark entity experience, which I would rather not repeat.
I feel strongly about helping others. I always have instinctively drawn wounded people in my life and have always worked in the helping professions with the abused and hurt. I am very humble and open to learning about the world. I have some ties to my Catholic roots as I've been close to some of the saints and prayed for their intercession, but I tend to believe that there is truth in all beliefs and that we as humans are arrogant if we think we know it all.
I look to magic to learn and to understand that pull I feel under the moon or in a storm or at the beach. I want to refine this intuition, not only to help myself but to really help others. I hate to see others suffer. I have begun to practice some "kitchen witchcraft" and am learning a bit. I look forward to meeting others and seeing where this path takes me.
