The wand is an instrument of invocation. It is sometimes used to direct energy or to draw magical symbols on the ground. To some, the wand represents the element of air, and it is sacred to the Gods.

The size of the wand is up to you, whatever size feels comfortable in your hand - your wand should feel like an extension of your own arm. Traditionally, it has been fashioned from the wood of a willow, elder, cherry, oak or peach tree. Any reasonably straight piece of wood can be used, even one you buy from a hardware shop!

The wand must be consecrated like any other tool. By consecrating a tool, you are declaring to the God and the Goddess that it is sacred and will only be used for magical work. It only touches the air.

You don't have to own the 'perfect' wand at first; you may use a stick until you stumble upon the right wand for you. Whatever you choose to use at first will be infused with your energy and power.

Some Wiccans engrave their wands with magical symbols, runes and/or words but this isn't absolutely necessary, as it becomes magical with your touch and use.

All tools are ritually cleansed and purified before use to remove any negativity; they are then personally charged and consecrated. Consecration only needs to be done once.

A Consecration Ritual For Your Wand
Hold your wand high in salute and say: "Lord and Lady, Father and Mother of all life. Here I present my personal wand for your approval. From now on may it serve me as a tool and a weapon in they service."

Place it on your altar and bow your head, thinking of it. Dip your fingers into the salted water and sprinkle it on the wand, on all sides. Now pick it up and hold it in the smoke of the incense, making sure all parts get thoroughly censed. Say: "May the sacred water and smoke drive out any impurities in this wand, that it be pure and cleansed, ready to serve me and my gods in any way I desire. So mote it be."

Hold it between the palms of your hands and concentrate all your energy into the wand. Then say: "I charge this wand through me with the wisdom of the God and the Goddess. May it serve us well, keeping me from harm and acting in their service in all things. So mote it be."

Keep the wand on your person for 24 hours and sleep with it under your pillow for three consecutive nights. It is your own personal tool. It is fine to let other people handle your wand, but never let another use it for anything, inside or outside the Circle. It is considered bad manners to handle another person's tools without permission. Your tools are your personal symbol of witchhood and deserved careful choice and treatment.

A Wand Dedication Ritual
Finally, a suggestion for dedicating your wand before you first use it. Perform this with visualization.

If the wand is made of wood, take it outside at sunset and rub it with fresh lavender, eucalyptus or mint leaves. Raise it towards the east and invoke the Goddess. In the morning, at sunrise, take it outside again and invoke the Goddess by rubbing it with more fresh leaves and holding it up again to the east.

Cleanse and consecrate all supplies with the four elements(earth, air, fire, and water).

List all your debts on the parchment. Draw a banishing pentacle on the back of the parchment.Carve a banishing pentacle on the candle. Place the rolled parchment in the candle holder then tighten the candle ontop.

Think of banishing your debts. Think of the feeling of happiness and relief when the debts are banished. Light the candle.Take the candle to the East quarter and ask that the Sylphs send your message of debt-banishment out to the universe in a safe and protective way, and ask that prosperity return to you in the same manner.

Put the candle back on the altar and, in your own words, ask Juno to banish the debt and replace with prosperous energy. Allow the candle to burn completely. The paper will catch fire, so watch what type of holder you are using (glass will break) and that the candle holder is on a fire-safe surface.

As the candle burns, concentrate on banishing your debts,your feelings of relief and happiness, and the coming prosperity.

Sleeping with a packet of calendula flowers, althaea leaves, and a few star anise seeds under your pillow is said to draw communications from a distant person through the medium of dreams. This means you will dream of them, not that they will necessarily dream of you.

It is recommended as a good way to ascertain state of health and well-being of someone you miss and may be unable to contact directly

Hold the item firmly and power it with your Essence (channelling) while thinking about the god/godess you have in mind and imagine them powering it themselves and it soon starts to glow and say the following:

"As I hold this ______, I keep in mind my goal, as I hold myself in this, I keep in mind my soul, as I ask for this, may the (god/godess) ______ aid it, and with it, I cast upon my own. As I chant this spell, may (his/her) power in me, dwell. And as I become this, may (his/her) power become bliss."

Finish the spell however you deem fit and leave it in the light of a full moon if possible.

Simply chant:

"Patron god heed me in this hour,
give strength, give me power,
give me truth and honesty,
give me chargement of the beasts.

I implore you, charge my soul,
give me secret human power, magic untold,
aid my mind in the darkest hour,
and protect me from the darkest powers.

Now it is done, let harm come to none,
by the powers three, may I be one"

On the night of the new moon go to a woodland and cast a circle and build a altar of stone or wood. Let it set for 1 moon phase. Return to the circle and draw a pentacle in the circle and place the candles as follow from the point facing down: place the red candle, place the blue candles on the middle points, and the black candles on the upper points. Place the pine and fennel on the altar and burn them take in some of the incense. Say:

"I call to the keeper,
He who guards lost souls
Hear me now
Show me the gates
Let me enter
And take my place
In Satan's army"

The skull will be a magical object once enchanted. First you will learn how to enchant the skull. Hold the skull in your hands and say:

"By the power of me and of spirits, skull head do as I please."

Now tell the skull head to be your magical assistant and that it will help you with what ever you need. Now that your skull head is
enchanted you will learn how to conjure spirits. To conjure a spirit/s say:

"Spirits hear my call, listen to my voice, come to me, so may it be."

Then if the a spirit appears you can ask it a question for divination or anything else. Then when your done with the spirit say:

"Thank you for your time, now I banish thee to leave by the power of me, so mote it be."

Now you will learn to work with magick energy. The first thing you do is in your mind visualize roots from the earth connecting to you. Then cup your hands and see that energy flowing down your arms, then out of your hands to form a ball of energy. Now tell the ball of energy to do whatever you want, to poke someone, to grab someone ect. You can use that energy to make something levitate as well just by directing that energy at an object and focus on making it levitate. Now the last thing you need to know is how to recharge your magickal energy. To do this you need to sit on the ground and touch the earth palm flat against the ground, then visualize energy from the earth going through your hand into your body then to your chest. Bogeyman can be used metaphorically to denote a person or thing of which someone has an irrational fear. Parents often say that if their child is naughty, the bogeyman will get them, in an effort to make them behave. The bogeyman legend may originate from Scotland, where such creatures are sometimes called bogles, boggarts, or bogies

Bogeyman tales vary by region. In some places the bogeyman is male; in others, female, and in others, both. In some Midwestern statesof the United States, the bogeyman scratches at the window. In other places he hides under the bed or in the closet and tickles children when they go to sleep at night. It is said that a wart can be transmitted to someone by the bogeyman.1 Bogeymen may be said to target a specific mischief – for instance, a bogeyman that punishes children who suck their thumbs – or general misbehavior."
