1. Carve Protection Runes into the Candle

Carve the rune Algiz (ᛉ) into the top of your candle.

You can also add Eihwaz (ᛇ) and Tiwaz (ᛏ) for strength and resilience.

2. Make and Apply a Cleansing Mixture

Mix a pinch of salt, a small amount of crushed charcoal, and a few drops of water.

Brush this over the top of the candle.

Sprinkle sage powder or crushed sage leaves on top.

3. (Optional) Anoint the Candle

Rub a few drops of peppermint essential oil onto the candle from base to wick for clarity and energy.

4. Create a Circle of Protection Runes

Place obsidian rune stones (or drawn runes) around the candle:
