December 12, Full Moon Magic

Hey! It's another full Moon. These things happen, about once a month actually. The full Moon will occur on December (the 12thMonth) 12th, at 12:12 EST. Do all these 12s mean anything significant?

Well.... maybe, just maybe. Let's look at the significance of the number 12:

• 12 months in a year
• 12 items in a dozen
• 12 inches in a foot
• 12 signs of the Zodiac

Even in Christianity the number 12 is of significance:

• 12 tribes of Moses
• 12 disciples of Jesus
• 12 sons of Jacob
• 12 days of Christmas

And the number 12 has significant meaning in Numerology as well.

In fact many civilizations(pre French Revolution) used base 12 math and had their currencies in base 12 instead of the base 10 we use today. This is because using a base of 12 makes simple math a lot easier. You can divide by 3 and by 4 a lot easier than we can in base 10.

In fact we still use these principles today. We have 12 months in a year, divided into 4 seasons, and each of those seasons has 3 months. A month being the time from one full Moon to the next.

And that brings us to the Moon and the number 12.
