6. Offerings: any kind of bread, homemade offering including bread, wine, milk, honey, and things related to study/writing which will all make good offerings id personally choose up to 2.

To start this off be sure you know what spell you will be performing for thoth as he will view this as disrespectful if you do not perform one for him as i have said this ritual is for the novice not the beginner, something as simple as a psi ball will suffice.
Know exactly what youll be asking this deity as there is no point in invocation if you do not have anything to say.
The student will always seek to make a protection circle as any negative entity can pass by when doing concentrated invocations such as this one. I will be deeming this ritual as "Strong".
There are many places you can look for casting a protection circle however i had an assistant who walked around me in a circle three times (clockwise) will dropping salt and holding a sage incense to create said protection circle and at the end of her walk she says "may this circle protect us from negativity so to make way for the positive." and to open the circle at the end of the ritual you do this in reverse holding the incense walking counter-clockwise. you can do this all yourself or invoke the elements if youd like!
Sit where the moon is visible and begin to meditate on it, focus on your third eye (ajna) chakra and let yourself feel the vibration it emits. begin to chant "Om" to feel the vibration on your pineal gland. Do this for around 5-10 minutes. The entire time also envision a purple ball of energy swirling there in just the right and balanced way. Doing this will increase your intuition and awareness of the ritual.
Remember to breathe in through your nose and out your mouth steadily to begin bringing yourself to a trance like state. Remember that anxiety and fear only hinders yourself during this ritual, be non judgemental of anything that happens for it was going to happen anyways.
At this point your welcome to invoke your protection deity if this is your will but i will say thoth will not be hurting you at any point as he is fair and just. Begin moon gazing for as long as you need to and notice its aura that surrounds it. You will now turn to the east, sit cross legged or kneel. Light the sandalwood incense (frankincense works as well), light the white or blue candle (both if youd like).
Make sure your offerings are set forth yet do enjoy your own portion of the offering so you may dine too as this is respectful and a gesture of sharing the same things you feel was necessary for him!
This all being done it is now time to begin the invocation.

You may do this incantation until you feel, hear, or think he is now present.
Note: During the ceremony with my assistant our confirmation was the sound of a baboon seemingly running in the woods near us and hearing its screech which was very distinct for us and we would like to note that i live in america and baboons or monkeys are not in my state whatsoever or any state in the wilderness.
Thank thoth for coming to hear what you have to say or ask. Let him know you have come with offering. Reveal your spell to him as thoth is a magician, the master seeks its pupil so prove you are worthy.
Once finished please do state your purpose of invocation and be clear, have no stutter in your voice and have no doubt in yourself as he will know this and WILL let that be known in some form or another.
Having a quarts ball to look into after or any forms of divination you have will be best used here but i have recommended tarot as in our experience we read 3 tarots and the middle one was a tarot card that was not in my assistants original deck! It was a tarot from the thoth tarot again she previously had not owned. You may now eat from your own portion of the offering and drink as well especially if the wine is involved though only if you are of legal drinking age. I would like to state that blood is not needed for this ritual and i encourage you all away from doing this as thoth is humble, all he wants are serious students. Once done eating thank thoth for coming to hear your call be respectful and understanding. The incense should go out on its own but after youve finished blow out the candles gently and begin to take everything back inside but do be sure to leave thoths offering out there as it isnt yours. Additional notes: I want to say that if you are not versed at all in cartomancy choose your own method of divination which could of been asking thoth to visit you in your dreams and when you wake up for the next 1-3 days write down everything that happened so you may read between the lines.
We conducted this ritual with positive intent so if you do this for the opposite theres not much for me to teach you there. Whatever noises or anything you perceive out of the ordinary yes perceive it yet do not dwell or attach yourself to it. acknowledge what is presented to you and remember yet do not dwell.
