So a lot of us can never think about killing an animal including me. In voodoo the sacrifice is called man-je-lwa "feeding the spirits" but in some countries that don't have supermarkets they have no choice but to kill an animal bless it, eat and use it as a sacrifice but if you can go to a supermarket then by all means go!

Why is it important to feed the spirits? because, tre spirits help give you energy for a spell/ritual and if you don't offer something the spell won't work.

If your a vegetarian like me you can always offer a fruit.
