Sensing Spirit

A method in Northern Tradition of sensing spirits makes use of fumigation.

The way this is done is to take wormwood, and place it in a loose incense burner, and to light it periodically with a match or lighter.

This is potent. I do not recommend using charcoal disks.

You will then inhale some of the smoke as the plant burns.

This is said to open one to those passed and in my experience other entities. This can be useful to help sense the spirits that may or may not be around you.
