Have everyone sit around in a circle with closed eyes holding each other's hands. Everyone must then imagine their energy going from their hands to to others getting brighter and stronger while chanting (if your doing this around a circle then also imagine energy emerging out of the circle into everyone else)

This requires an edit. As outlined, it looks more like a dedication. You can chant as a group to conjure more energy, but you do not need a chant before casting. You would work together in the spellcasting to conjure the energy.
