Feeling ashamed for gifts

Has anybody ever felt ashamed for their gifts? I saw something bad happening between a fellow witch and someone else that subsequently involved him asking for help from me with mine, so I gave him a reading instead to prevent it altogether. My gifts are never wrong. I almost didn’t because I was a little worried he’d think I was weird, but I just wanted to help so someone could have a positive life because the whole situation could’ve been dealt with differently. He wanted me do it publicly on the platform where I couldn’t private message instead of re-adding me on something else. I felt like the situation was too important to not saying about due to the nature of it. But, he wouldn’t listen and called me a weirdo. So now I feel publicly embarrassed in front of a lot of people, really ashamed for having them and like I should never help people with them. I guess I just need people to relate to because I feel like a freak.

While your gifts aren't something to be ashamed of the way you're feeling is understandable and valid.

You have a boundary because you don't feel comfortable showing your gifts in public, and that person got you to do something you didn't want to, revealing your gifts in a public space.

It is ok, you will be ok. Your gifts are a part of you, and you are nothing to be ashamed of though if you feel uncomfortable sharing them that is perfectly ok.
You're a very nice person for doing this reading for someone to help them, though it would be healthy for next time to set clear boundaries of what you are and aren't ok with.
