I believe I seen you post something about this in the Live Chat, I think I messaged a little late but I'll go ahead and post what I posted in there, here. In my personal opinion, I don't believe in "Black" or "White" magic, magic in itself is energy. You can practice any form of magic (as long as it's legal), your path is yours to walk. My advice is research and study, form your own opinions.

'White' and 'black' are very subjective terms, everyone has their own definition of what those words even mean. Let alone determining what action falls under which umbrella. Or even how an individual chooses to weigh that judgement.

Do you define 'White' as selfless (outward acting)? Healing/creative? As an output/outward motion of energy? As being positive or "good"? (Bringing up the minefield of trying to now also define 'good') Or as functioning passively/subtly?

Likewise is 'Black' Active and Destructive? Reductive/absorbing of energy? Selfish (inward acting)? As being negative/evil? Harmful? ... Unpleasant?

At what point is any action judged? By the outcome, which is only determined when it arrives? Some gudge by the action itself, and how it is taken- but a surgeon has to cut into the patient to heal. What about motivation and intent, the root of every action lies first in the desire to commit it. But does that mean we are judged even before any thought is acted on?

Or is it simpler, based on some written out formula or popular consensus. Protection is good, but retribution is bad. Taking energy from your surroundings is good but taking energy from people is bad. Telling someone something they don't want to do is bad to do, is good. Telling someone something they want to do is bad to do, is bad. Warning someone they are holding a harmful belief is bad. (You can't judge! I believe what I want!) But allowing a person to believe something harmful and having it lead to them being harmed, is also bad. (Why didn't you stop that person! You knew and didn't say anything. How heartless!)

Let's face it. Morality is a hot mess. And it has been a hot mess for literal thousands of years. Plato, Aristotle, Solomon, Marx, Jung, and everyone in between have had thoughts on the subject, and none could even agree on what definitions to use.

In the end, judgement lies in two places. Within yourself, how you feel about what you want to do and whether or not you can spend the rest of your life in the knowledge of your actions. And Externally, what the public consensus is at the time, which is fluid and interpretive.

Personally, I find the most important of those two to be your internal judgement. People can be left behind. You can leave, cut ties, move forward, find new places, join new communities. However, no matter where you go, there you'll be. You are the one thing to which there is no escape.
