Help leaving body

Hello.
I've been trying to do astral projection, and I kind of seem to be doing it, but I can't figure out how to get out of my physical body. I feel my eyes going out of focus and my whole body going kind of dull, but I can't seem to get to the stage where I see myself.

Hi!
So there's a techquie I use for astral travel. Maybe it will help you with the getting out of your body part, because this helped me.

in your head say "mind awake , body asleep" three times , then start at your head and say "my head is heavy and limp" "my neck is heavy and limp" "my chest is heavy limp" and go all the down to your toes for each part of body (chest, stomach, thighs, legs, feet, toes), then when you get to your toes, in your mind imagine that your squeezing your toes and tightly closing your hands but don't do it psychically, repeat those two things and try energetic lifting yourself out of your body. For my legs come out one at a time, then my arms, my body and my head is last. Also remember that Astral Projection is a skill, so you have to practice it to get better at it. I saw this cause unless I'm mistaken I don't think your post says how long you'll been trying to astral project.

Hope this helps!

Aeromage I have not heard of that method before! It seems downright genius in simplicity, I'm going to have to try it out and add it to my repertoire.

There are three ways that I am familiar with, the first two are very similar for the first couple of steps.

First, meditation for deep relaxation.
It sounds like you are achieving this as this is where the body feels heavy and relaxed.

The next goal is usually referred to as the vibration stage. As you relax mind and body, you eventually start to feel a wobbling or swaying/tilting sensation. Sometimes it helps to imagine the idea of energy swishing back and forth through your body, like water waves. It sometimes starts small and localized, and can move around to different parts of your body as you think about them. Over practice it will become a full-body sensation.

Next is lifting off (for lack of a better term). There's two practices for this that I am aware of;

First one is to imagine yourself as resting just a foot or two under the surface of water. But it isn't water, it is just the energy around you at a physical level of density. The normal levels of perception and awareness. While the 'air' above the surface is the higher vibratory state of the non-physical levels of awareness.

While your body is solid and belongs In the physical- heavy and gently resting on the bottom of the water, your consciousness and spirit are lighter and buoyant and wants to float up to the surface like a bubble of air. All you need to do is allow yourself to float up on your own buoyancy.

The second way is to imagine a rope hanging down to you, and that you are able to grab it and use it to climb upwards. An act that should be effortless because spirit has no mass, no weight. You don't need muscles to move. Only intention and thought.

The third method is by using a dream intent. For this, you only need to reach the 'heavy' stage really. Though hitting a deeper state does help. Once relaxed and focused you direct your focus inward. Address your subconscious self directly and willfully, with a simple instruction or goal you want to achieve while you are asleep, and that subconscious part of yourself is in charge.

I learned about dream intents as a tool for achieving different tasks like coming to an important/difficult decision where you keep waffling back and forth. Or to take steps towards breaking negative habits. That sort of thing. I turned it into a declaration that I would allow my conscious self to shift into the astral levels while I slept, to the highest vibration (most spiritually focused/highest planes) I could reach. Usually with a specific goal in mind like exploring/looking to recover past-life or between-life lessons and experiences. Or to meet with a guide or guardian to learn what I could from them- whatever thay had the willingness to teach.

Okay, I think I've sort of got it, but is my vision supposed to move? No matter how hard I try, I can't get my vision to part with my eyeballs.

I do worry, what if everything I think I've accomplished in astral projection was just my imagination?

Astral projection is very much a real thing, but remember it's a skill. It's something you need to train up. So don't get discouraged, if you have any specific questions please don't hesitate to mail me.

Should I be able to "see" anything when I'm in my astral body?
I can sort of move and feel, but I can't see anything. My vision is stuck in my physical eyes.

I suppose it depends on what kinds of levels you bring your awareness to. And also what techniques you use along with your level of practice.

For example, I have used the dream-intent method for many years. It's hard to be in deep meditation for more than 20 minutes or so when you work with ADD. The body gets restless and uncomfortable/tense in random places which breaks focus. Being able to use a lighter level of meditation and then fall asleep (something that -also- happens regularly for me anyways) lets me work with my personal quirks.

However because I am essentially dreaming my way astral, it makes my memories likewise dreamlike. Often I only recall small moments or details consciously. I also tend to have a goal of connecting with more spiritually oriented levels of the astral... the sorts of levels guides, guardians, and ascended masters like to hang out. These sorts of levels are not really perceived in the same way as our physical senses are used to.

Rather than seeing a forest, you would feel the sensations related to a forest. Earthy energy, a feeling of being 'in nature', maybe even a smell of fresh air or a feeling of being in a peaceful place.
