Animals?

Okay the subject makes no sense but I don't know how to phrase it. Recently I got 3 bunnies. One is dark grey. The moment I saw him the name 'Ash' entered my mind but his current name is Thor. Am I just being weird?

Of course that's not weird. I never name animals until one comes along that just feels right.

Nope, not weird at all. It just means the name that popped into your mind is the right name for that animal. I currently have a bird, but when I gave her the name she didn't like it until weeks later where another name came to mind. It still wasn't right because I kept correcting it to a different one. I ended up sticking to that name and she loves it now. It might be best to give the name that popped into your head because the animal might want it more than the one you had orignaly given.

If you are bored one day, or honestly stuck as to which name to use, I might suggest looking up the numerology behind both names. There is the idea that letters- or more accurately the specific sounds they represent- have meaning and vibration that produce a sort of... combined imprint or overall feel/attitude.

Having an idea of what sorts of attitudes each name resonates with would let you compare them with the bunny's personality and see which one might fit best.

There is free calculator based on Linda Goodman's books, with direct exerpts for each number meaning. Her practice has based on hebrew-chaldean numerology and I personally find it to be a useful system.

Just plug each name in and see what gets spit out and which seems to suit your bunny best!

This doesn't seem weird at all to me but rather natural.

I feel Ash is an appropriate alternative name should you decide to use it instead of Thor.

This is your personal preference and personality shining through.

I recently came up with a name for a cat. I already have a cat with a name. I forget now what the name was. I believe it was mystic or something close to it.

Does this make me weird? I don't intend to get another pet soon but from time to time names for pets will pop into my thoughts.

To me this is human nature. We like to attribute names for things. This is something we are taught from a young age. We are taught that this is a frog, or this is a table leg. We continue into adulthood to contribute a name to something when we bring a life into this world. When we start a business we create a name or title.

It is human nature.

Thank you all for your advice. I've checked out the website recommended to me and the personalities it told me were basically the same. Same star sign and personality. Thanks again. May the stars shine on you

*Laughs* That's a neat coincidence indeed! The star sign would be the same unless you changed the birthday entries, so I wouldn't worry about that. It always calculates those. For your purposes it would just be the number it spits out.
