Especially regarding sensing danger in someone I find the majority of the time I have a great character judgement. Body language itself can speak volumes. The look in a person's eyes can give away intent.

I am not sure if this is cold reading? I've always referred to it as intuition.

Essentially I can tell at the first look at another at times whether I really wish to associate with them. We learn from everyone. That doesn't mean I need to accept everyone into my space, close space.

I am not the asking for directions type. Then again I don't often find myself in a position where I would need to.

Personally I would rather rely on my own judgement than flashes of images that can be interpreted in a number of ways.

Understandable, but normally my intuition will tell me without the use of the cards. The picture of the cards are just an extra symbols for me to really try and understand what I may be facing with. I supposed it's just up to you and how you would use them. I don't really see any right or wrong way in dealing with the matter. It's just really up to you as a person to see how comfortable you are and how far you are willing to take this.

I would like to think,I've got my head on my shoulders.

But I think, that when you're in the middle of what you're doing, you may not always be aware of what you're doing.

I personally, have never asked myself if reading people not using tools and prior of them giving consent is ethical or not. It is simply because for me it happens so fast, and I am not expecting it. Therefore, there is is no time for asking for consent. What you could do though is to decide to share it with or not, and ask them if they would like to know themselves. Some people do not want to know their future, or anything spiritually related to them. They might not react very nice to your words. Not everyone is open to spirituality. I have had plenty of experiences, where people ran for the hills out of fear because they felt so exposed, even though they wanted me to tell them. I have cases where people got angry with what was revealed, and decided to be in denial. Other people will just assume you are simply crazy, and are talking some nonsense. Others might decide you actually caused the events you predicted by either magical or physicals means, which comes with entirely other set of complications. In result, I have learnt my lesson, and I will only share what they insisted to know, ahead of time. My only exception is seeing serious injury or brush with death in store for them. I cannot in clear consciousness not say something because I do not want to think later, what if I tried to warn them and they could have listened and still be here. In this case, despite any possible back lash, I would tell them straight what information was given to me. Then, it their choice to head my warning or not. I have done my duty towards spirits and humans.

Most people need to be warmed up to such ideas, and get to trust you and like you to feel comfortable with your intuition. I strongly advise against startling them with some information out of blue.

Additionally, please remember that all Tarot cards have different meaning upright or reverse. They can also mean different things in different aspects of ones life. I got the idea hat you use them to mean a specific thing to you by associating a specific type of energy imprint to a Tarot image. Mediums take many years to establish which image they receive is related to this specific idea. How this is done is through a lot of experience and repetition and tries to get the system to work right. However, you have to keep in mind that unlike the spirits of the dead and the guides, the spirits of living people can change and their energy, circumstances are always changing. Living people change all the time energetically, emotionally, mentally and some even have multiple personalities or aspects. How are you going to know that the person perceived as untrustworthy, at the moment, did not tell a lie few minutes ago because they had a serious reason, and will be honest, tomorrow?

Living things are always adapting and changing. Unfortunately, humans like to label and classify things which are also very very dynamic in nature. This might actually offend people, if you perceive their current status of being as their immediate future or forever state of being. This might backfire an they might ignore you entirely, get angry or even take your words on 100 percent face value and remain not worthy of trust because they though you knew them better than themselves. This then becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. You need to adapt and change your system to read people all the time, if they are living. Dead are another case. They are often locked up in some loop, and they hang on for dear life to certain things that they believe keep their old personality in place.

I use techniques that are dynamic, if I can help it. Spirits choose what to relay to me in their own accord. This is beyond my control. I have to adapt to their methods in this case and try to understand their meaning to my best capability.

I've even had some one openly around me and others, make fun of me for using them, then after afew days, was asked to read for them.which I did.ive learned not to self judge.simply because I know how people can be.human behavior.
And I always keep readying a secrete.Period.

Tim. I think if focusing on which tarot cards come to you within mind's eye, is helpful for you, you should definitely use it as a tool. I've done energy readings for others using my mind's eye and the images that come to me. I have had images and feelings come to me using this method which I had not relayed to those I had read for, only for them to describe to me exactly what I had felt. This imagery you receive and trusting it and learning to interpret it, can very well be clairvoyant intuition.

I do encourage you to practice with this more.

Good luck.

I'd surmise that your reading people's energy and that energy translates out as tarot images for you which is something you can comprehend and understand. The problem with tarot however is that the cards and their meanings are too often taken as strict definition when each card can have many interpretations depending on the situation and person being read.

Id definitely keep working with it. Just remember to be open minded and let the energy speak to you.

Dillon....yes,...I know what you mean about being rigid.been there, done that.and afraid to admit,I still do the whole thing with looking for help from books if the card make no sense to me.and at times, they still won't make sense.
But I know thats apart of learning.
