I just checked your profile, and it only contains 3 words. Neither of them, I would consider rude on its own, and the combination of them does not come across as rude. I guess, some of the more sensitive members of the website, can get a bit of a dismissive vibe. People do not like their company being dismissed, so they would just ignore you on first place, in order to avoid being dismissed themselves, at some point the the near future. I know that you did not put such intend behind your bio, but people infer feelings and meaning behind written or spoken word constantly. These feelings and meaning will be based on the personality, past experiences and natural propensities of each reader. Some people won't react negative to your bio, some would assume you might have dismissive tendencies, as there is not between concept from introduction to departing. Think of it this way. Would you gain something meaningful from someone, who saluted you and then immediately said goodbye? I guess the answer is not. Engaging people in any form takes time, patience and skill. Not many put a thought behind it, but we should.
I hope this shed some light on this person's reaction. Even though, I do not think so the word rude applies well to this particular situation. Rather you give the impression of hard to engage type of a person, by putting this out there as a bio.
