Firstly, hello everyone, been a little while since I posted on the main forums. Secondly,I'm making this post due to an overwhelming amount of messages I've received based on my username. My username is, well just that, a username, I'm not a "god", please stop asking me that, please don't ask me "how to become a god", we are humans, h-u-m-a-n-s, most of you don't even receive a message back from becauseI usually just press "ignore" and send it to my "Fluff" category of my inbox, but I'm getting a little bit annoyed at the fact no one seems to read the profile of the person they send messages to, most of us do post on our profile the messages that we will ignore or delete. Please for the love of all the gods, stop asking me if I'm a god. Thank you loves.
I know the feeling, people really need to see that you are human and magic will not change that. As someone with the name Dragon, I get people not taking me seriously because they think I'm some sort of role player or I get people asking me. How to become a dragon, I also get some people being upset at me because they think I'm lying about being a dragon.
As this site says and will continue to do so, for years to come. You cannot turn into a god, you cannot shape-shift on the earthly realm. You cannot turn into a werwolves or dragons. Please, do your research before asking people these ridiculous things. I understand it's what draws people into magic, but one needs to know what magic can and can't do before learning anything else. You cannot be a dragon, for you are human and there is nothing wrong with being human. I'm seriously about my craft, just because my username is Dragonearth know it is just a username and nothing more.
Nice to see you again Zeus, sorry to hear about the messages. I use to have people asking me to become a neko [which you can't] and people mailing me about Dragons [so I put a little blurb about it in my profile] currently it's a lot of questions about what type of anime I'm into lol. Over the years I've learned to ignore mail about "help me do something that isn't real". I use to try and educate, but now, depending on the person, I just delete it. Put it in your profile, if they mail you anyway, ignore. Best of luck to you, glad to see you again.
Nice to see you again, Neko, yeah I guess I have to be a bit more specific in my biography and see if that helps. It just wastes a little bit of my time that I could be using helping people. Anyways nice to talk to you again.
I've tried so many things in my own profile, Zeus. It hasn't really helped. I'll get mails from people who don't like how I responded to something in a thread, for example, and someone even asked me if I am literally my profile picture. I told them that yes, I am the literal moon. They thought I meant it. I gave up.
One day I hope Pet adds emojis because I really want to do a facepalm, well I've added a more specific addition to my "Messaging Guidelines", I have doubts it will help, but hopefully, the fates will show me mercy and grant me the reprieve from those type of peope, but you know Pet added the ignore option for a reason, so gonna have to get used to it.
I've definitely used the ignore function a good few times, and it's even been complained about publicly here on the forum. It has almost always been people who don't want to keep a conversation in its publicly visible thread.
Benison, if the help you need is related to the story behind things directly related to this thread, ask. If the help you desire is something unrelated to this thread, you're much better off creating a new thread, in the appropriate section, to ask for help. And please, be specific in your request. Just saying you need help won't lead you anywhere.
