Herb newbie
By:

Hi I'm Smol,

I'm still new to witchcraft and want to know more. I would like some pointers or tips for a newbie when it comes to herbs. I have a couple of questions:

  1. Is there an herb or a mixture of herbs that are good for essential oil making, meant for anxiety? As i can't take an anti anxiety medication (right now) for personal reasons.
  2. Would the leaves on a pumpkin vine/plant be good for anything? Seeds too?
  3. Can a spirit bless your herbs as they grow?

Thank you,

Smol the pumpkin fanatic.

  1. Chamomile and lavender are both very good for relaxation. If you get the essential oil, you can dab some of it on your pulse points and behind your ears to help with stress, anxiety, and relaxation. If you have sensitive skin, I'd recommend diluting it with a vitamin E oil before placing it on your skin, however. You can also use the dried herbs and place them in small pillows or sachets and either carry them with you or hang them up in your room.
  2. Pumpkin can be used in spells and rituals for protection, fertility, and love. (I've added a link below that you might find useful on it.
  3. You can ask sprits and deities to bless your plants. I've seen this quite often!
