The term for male Volva
By:
Good day everyone,
I've been doing some research before into Seidr. I've found the the practice of seidr by men was seen as ergi or unmanly. Therefor mostly woman practiced the art. These woman were called Volva. Then by further reading I found that Odin also practiced Seidr and learned from a volva, his wife, freya. She was the best of all in these practice. Therefore I'm wondering what the correct term of a male volva is? I have found seidman, but that doesn't really include the complete practice of a volva. Vitkis is maybe more correct? I'm not sure for the correct term?
Thanks
