Question on Egyptian Gods

I’m starting to consider to stick with what I’ve been told, about respecting gods and goddesses, because I’m guessing that Egyptian gods and goddesses aren’t that easy to talk to, but now I’m wondering which of them can fit what I would consider wise, and what I consider to be wise is to be creatively ingenious, book/scroll/street smart, witty, knowledgeable of a certain thing/person/creature/element/topic, having a lot experience, but not being a “show off” or a “know it all”, that’s what I consider being wise, would any of the Egyptian gods fit that criteria?

Deities are powerful spiritual beings, that exists on a different level of reality than humans.

I am getting the impression that you are applying mundane ideals onto the deities themselves. I feel that is a bit of a mistake.

They are not lower-level spirits. Pretty much all deities have the qualities you described, especially if one decides to deal with them in their abstractirization, on a more archetypical and conceptual level.

Oh, I didn’t know that at all, um, there are still so many question I have on Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, because I don’t know how to talk to or even call upon Divine Deities or Deities

There are a lot of things to consider when reaching out to any deity. Be it Egyptian, Greek, Norse, etc. the concept is still the same.

1) They are not just play-things that we can call upon and use whenever we feel like it. They are divine spirits and should be respected as such.

2) It's not as difficult as it sounds to contact one, or two, or twelve. Do some research on the Egyptian Pantheon, and see if any of the gods call out to you - i.e. learning about them really resonates within you. There are several signs as well if a deity wants to work with you. You can't stop thinking about them, they can appear in dreams (though they're not always depicted as themselves. Sometimes you just know its them). You could look up what they like, what their signs or symbols are and leave out an offering, letting them know you're willing to listen and also be heard.

3) Always respect the Gods. As I said, they are not play-things, or puppets to be used by us whenever we bloody feel like it. Respect is a huge feat among the gods, no matter which house they're from.

My advice, do some more research on the Egyptian gods/goddesses. Figure out why you're looking into that pantheon specifically, then if you find that you connect with a deity, go for it. Like I said, leave out an offering or two and let them know you're willing to sit and listen.

I think all Deities need respect, that I agree on, as well as they’re not play-things, I agree on that as well, and research is something I need to do, because I don’t know what I want to know about certain Deities, and Egyptian mythology is something that interests me, it’s just... I don’t know where to start looking, because credible sources are what I’ve been taught to trust, and I want to test myself to see if I can talk to an Egyptian Deity

Honestly, just start with Google. It can be a bit overwhelming, but just starting with the history of them helps get a footing on where to go from there. And then, you can play eeny-meeny-miny-mo if you wanted to on which one to start with. Just pick one. Then go from there.

I am quite sure that he is a fantasy book writer that likes weaving Greek and Egyptian Deities into his stories, and targets his books towards young teenagers.

Well, now I have sources on Egyptian Gods and Goddesses, thanks to all of those who posted links, now I just have to think of who to research besides Set
