How did you start believing in magick or even feel sure magic existed?
I would be glad if you would answer my question and in return you can ask me something and I will try to
answer it to the best if my abilities.
Thanks again.

The doubts will cease (usually) whenever a practitioner starts to see the manifestations of their work in their reality.

What are you actually doing?

Do you practice and have an understanding of the basics?

It depends what you mean by magic. If you are under the impression that magic is as it is portrayed in movies and other fantasies, such as shape-shifting, any kind of kinesis, or other things that are physically impossible, you will be disappointed. If this is what you were thinking, I would recommend looking through some threads in the General Info section and some of the articles about getting started for a better idea of what magic really is.

I can feel it in my day-to-day life, and it affects the way that I have chosen to see things and react to them. It gives me something to work toward and it constantly fascinates me. I don't doubt it because it is such an intrinsic part of my life and the way that I go about everything, from problems to successes. But that's just me. Other people may have other reasons for believing in it or following its path.

i don't remember ever really doubting magick. i began researching Wicca for a class project and the magick aspect was a side thing for me [i was far more drawn to the religious and spiritual beliefs of paganism than actual spell casting] as such i learned early on what magick is, and it's limitations. i collected tons for spells, but i was always too nervous to cast any out of fear of it backfiring. whenever i did cast spells it was in a group which added to the energy and the spells manifested rather quickly [also whenever we cast a circle the fire candle always burned down first because we put too much energy into it, didn't matter where we cast the circle or how big the candle was, fire candles burned down in 5 minutes. kind of hard to question something you not only feel, but witness work]

when people ask how one could believe, or give me absolute proof, i find myself scratching my head. like, it's faith, people don't need facts to prove god, jesus, santa claus, they just know they're real. i'm all about experimentation and healthy skepticism, but some things you need to take a leap of faith and just know it's real for you, it works for you, and leave it at that. i've felt energy when i've charged it, i've seen things manifest quicker when i cast spells versus when i do not. you could argue placebo effect or coincidence, but if it works for me, and i'm not hurting anyone with it, who cares? somethings you just have to open your mind and give it a try.
