Hellenistic Festivals
By: / Beginner
Post # 1
Greetings. I've been having a bit of trouble lately. I can't seem to find the dates for times of celebration in honor of the Greek Gods and Goddesses. I would appreciate help with that for I have worked with them for a while and want to honor even more.

There's a listing for a number of festivals at https://cse.google.com/cse?cx=partner-pub-3887923691185452:7293067721&ie=UTF-8&q=celebrations&sa=Search+Theoi.com&ref=www.google.com/

And a wonderful site for information about the Greek Gods and Greek religion can be found at https://www.theoi.com/

The Depinon takes place once a month on the night of a new moon. It is a practice revolving around Hecate and her monthly descent into Hades.

Full moons are also days where you can honour the god who looks over that month.
Hera = January
Poseidon = February
Athena = March
Aphrodite = April
Apollo = May
Hermes = June
Zeus = July
Demeter = August
Hestia = September
Ares = October
Artemis = November
Hephestus = December

You can find calendars online with more festivals and holidays. Quite a few of them are rarely practiced now but you could revive them.
