spell adjusting/combining

hello, i'm new. i have 2 questions
1. could i safely adjust a spell (like, use different ingredients if i cant get them or if i'm allergic to an ingredient) and it still be effective?
2. would it be dangerous to combine different spells? i have seen quite a few spells on this site that are very similar but have slight variations, would it be possible to combine all the variations into one spell?
thanks

hey plantwitch,

  1. of course you can change the ingredients in a spell! Herbs, crystals and anything else a spell specifies are only used as a form of magnifying your own energy, it's not mandatory to have those things. For example, if a spell requires you to write a word on an oak leaf, you don't have to do that, you could just use a piece of paper.
  2. Not at all. All spells are made by somebody, so you can make your own spells too, either by mixing up similar spells on here or making your own.

Hope this has been helpful :)

Skoll

I would take caution when dealing with herbs. Rather then getting technical I'll give you a simple hypothetical situation. Let's say there is two flowers with love properties but each one will represent a different aspect of love. Flower one grows in early spring and dies off in mid spring wile flower two grows in mid spring threw mid summer. So flower one would take on the aspect of a new love wile flower two endures the climate change taking on the aspect of lasting love. Both grow at different times so you wouldn't want to use them both in the same setting but use one and let it run its course then the other. There is far more then this when considering herbs.
