Legitimacy of Magic

I was hoping yall would be able to help me with a little research. For many years now, my interest in all of this magic stuff has come and gone, and I finally decided to sit down and do some research on all of it. I definitely it to be real, but I have a feeling that it really isn't. Primarily, I want to focus on looking into the practicality of casting spells(like the power of three, chanting, geometry, etc...) and the possible ways that it works. Thoughts?

You create your own universe as you go along.
– Winston Churchill

I would suggest looking into Laws of Attraction. It is a good ideal that most magic follows in some manner. I do not mean the 2004 Movie 'Laws of Attraction'; with Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore.

Suggestion of research:

Magick doesn't have a set definition so it'll be difficult. Plus not everyone who believes in magick also believes in spells. Magick is a natural energy/force that brings change. [like gravity, you can't see it but it's effecting you in subtle ways] people who practice witchcraft and believe in magick but not spell casting would take this energy more as the change of seasons or scientific in nature over waving your hands and making someone love you.

As for spell casting it is the belief we can tap into the magickal energy around us and direct it on a desired path to create a natural change in our life [from love to curses] as a part of nature, however, it cannot contradict nature [so if you cast a "become a werewolf spell" and it didn't work, this doesn't mean magick isn't real. It just means humans do not transform into wolf hybrids by nature and therefore cannot through spells]

Personally I would start with energy work to try and feel the flow of the energy, then try a simple spell like a luck or wealth spell. When I've cast money spells it usually results in my getting more work for a moon cycle than without the spell [one time my work called me in while I was still casting the spell lol] so I encourage you to study, practice, and draw your own conclusions about magick, but I would leave your preconceptions at the door to try and limit your bias.
