Indigo, crystal, rainbow

Hello just wondering if anyone has ever met any of these children and what information you know about them. Just curious because someone close to me told we when we were fairly new friends that I was one of these children.

The idea of indigo Children comes from one person's book about her perception of aura colors. Adherents to this belief, and her description, started labeling their children as indigo children to excuse behavioral anomalies, which almost all seem to align with other diagnoses, such as ADHD.

Crystal and Rainbow children are similar: They are simply a colorful label to describe aspects of the personality.

Sadly, there are people who cannot seem to accept being just a normal person with their own quirks, and have decided that there must be something super special and supernatural in order to feel special.

The thing is, many young people go through a time when they do not feel like they fit in. Externally, it seems that others lack the same awkwardness or whatever else that we all experience, whether or not we deal with things differently. Some people take this as a confirmation that they are somehow different from everyone else.

But here's the thing: We're all a bit different, a product of our genetics, environment, and other factors.

Someone with social anxiety and shyness, who happens to be extremely introverted, could just as well be labeled a crystal child. In reality, it holds no bearing to making them anything supernaturally special. They are already unique, with their own aptitudes and preferences. There is no reason to slap more labels on people.
