So I've noticed that some of you guys said you feel lost, or don't know to begin with magick or feel depressed and ¨empty¨. A few others have reached out asking how to start. I just wanted to put this out there. You can buy all of the candles, spellbooks, and herbs you want but true magick isn't all about the supplies you need to begin your spell. You need energy. You need passion. If you feel ¨empty¨ inside, then your spell isn't going to work. You need to believe, not only that the spell will work, but in yourself. Believe in magick and all of the wonderful things you have the ability to accomplish or change. Before I started playing soccer, basketball, and lacrosse I felt empty too, like everything was missing. Once I stepped onto the field or court I felt as if I found the missing puzzle piece. I tried casting spells while I was depressed, before I started playing sports and none of them worked because I needed happiness, and spirit and a will to not only wake up in the morning but to get up at 5 am and go on a 3-mile run. Before you start casting spells, if you haven't already, find the things that give you a light inside, whether its a sport or any new hobby. I was only able to awaken myself spiritually, and cast spells and see auras, and astral project once I found passion and started believing and I believe that is the most important thing you always need, especially when you are starting out. I do agree with you Fhaerie. I would also like to add that there is a philosophical law known as the law of attraction. Positive energy attracts positive things and negative energy attracts negative things. Magic is about asserting one's own energy to influence the outcome. With spells in regards to good luck, confidence, money attraction, etc., it requires positive energy. With hexes and curses, it requires negative energy. Positive energy spells requires positive emotions such as happiness, joy, excitement, etc. Negative energy spells require negative emotions such as sadness, anger, spite, etc.
It is very important to ground your energy before performing any spell. With poor grounding, one may fall into exhaustion in a short amount of time.
