I'll try to find more info on how to work with the deity I chose. Thanks again, Rikki! (PS I was calling it deity because that's what everything else called it.)
Almost all deities can be worshipped by either gender, regardless of the deity's gender.
What god or goddess do you want to worship? I will tell you an abundance of information on Him or Her and what practices, rituals, offerings and sacrifices you should make involving this god or goddess. I can also look for one or more deities for you if you tell me how many and the desired characteristics.
Different deities like and prefer different things, but you could start off by leaving apples on an altar or burying apples underground. After the apple rots or decomposes, the apple, fresh and juicy, again, is eaten by the immortal. The apple is the fruit of the gods, very healthy to eat (do not eat what is left on an altar,) and can be used for good health magic such as good health, healing and immortality.
You can also start off by killing insects as sacrifices to the gods. The insects' spirits will be with the gods.
hi, GEV, i deleted my account but here i am again, and I was thinking that Apollo would be my choice. Also if there are any other good deities that you would like to recommend, feel free to!
also for characteristics, i would say not too stern but probably not too self-centered, if you can even call a god that. I would probably like 4 or 5 extras just in case.
The sun god ? Well nice, i studied he is full of knowlede, kindness and protection. In my religon we call him 'Surya deva' (Soor-ya De-va). He is credited with revealing of the newer aspects of yajurveda called 'Shukla Yajurveda' meaning 'pure yajurveda'
As i have been taught Goddess Kãli is the mother of all occult arts, hence It will be worth it if the Divine Mother is chosen. Personally i pray to her counterpart 'Shakti Devi'. Anyway as all rivers meet the ocean in one way or the other, all deities lead us to similar things(Magick)
