Binding spell gone wrong?

My boyfriend just recently got into alchemy and the occult, and not too long ago, he cast a binding spell in our apartment. He said tamed a hellhound and asked it to protect us and our apartment. But last night, he decided to remove the binding spell because he thought I was freaking out (which I was). After that, when he went to sleep, he would have nightmares of me attacking him in our own apartment. Odd, because I asked if it was the same dream since he woke up in the middle of his sleep and then went back to sleep again. He said he had the same recurring dream. He has been trying to sleep all day and even though he has been asleep, he describes himself as not having enough sleep because of the nightmares. He said whenever I would try to wake him up, it sounded like I was screaming at him even though I wasn't.

He is inexperienced and this was his first time casting a spell and removing it. I was wondering if he had been having the nightmares because he removed the spell? I would like some help on this.

Thanks.

There is a high chance it is from removing the spell. Binding things like a hellhound when just starting can be very dangerous. And unless you in bind the spell correctly you release a lot of unstable energy imo the house. From what I know of hellhound they are not tamed rather chained and unless you release it correctly it's like releasing a wild animal into your house. It's energy is unstable and uncontaned and latched on to the thing that chained it.

I would suggest a cleansing spell and a spell to help things move on along with a protection spell to help with the dreams.

I would recommend using stones/crystals.
Amethyst, Tiger's Eye, and Black Tourmaline would all be good to end the nightmares to get some sound sleep. Keep Amethyst in your room or under your pillow, Black Tourmaline is best under your pillow as well, and Tiger's Eye works best when worn on a bracelet or necklace.
After he's been able to get a decent amount of sleep, I still recommend cleansing the area as soon as possible. These stones are best to prevent nightmares, but they won't guarantee that the negativity will be cleared from waking life. A sign that you still need to cleanse the area when using these is that you won't dream at all or won't be able to remember your dreams.
