I dream of a stranger.

Ever since I started puberty I've been having these weird dreams. For years I've dreaming about this guy I never met; but the dreams are never the same and he isn't always the same age. In the dreams we are always in some form of a romantic relationship, and I have seen him as a teen, young adult, and a middle aged man (as of so far); to also point out in the dreams I'm usually around the same age as him. They first started off as just him and I in the dreams, then a girl started appearing and she was recognized as our daughter; sometime after those dreams a boy joined them and he was our son and as of February 27 a baby boy joined the family (another son, named "Alexander"). The same house has also shown multiple times starting with the introduction of the first son. Now that I'm almost 18, I don't know how to feel because that's about the age the dreams showed me as when the guy and I meet. My mom started having dreams like this around the same age except they never got as deep or as vivid , and she ended up getting engaged to the guy from her dreams; but they didn't marry because he was afraid to have children (his brother suffered from schizophrenia and he was paranoid that if he had kids they would face the same fate) and he later (in years not like right away and my mom was his last relationship) committed suicide. I don't think about the guy from my dream often, and it seems every time I almost forget about him, I get another dream (but this isn't always the correlation; it feels like it is a lotto or something-- it's sorta random or out of the blue) So to get to the point I just want to know: Are these visions of my future? Is my brain just messing with me? Or is it that my dreams are trying to tell me something? I just want some advice because I don't know what to do in a situation like this. Thanks -Anne

From what I know about precognitive dreams, they usually don't predict the future so far in advance, as the future is literally always changing. For example, walking a different direction home one night can change your future, as nothing is ever set in stone.

Now, faces in dreams are always replicates of those you have always seen, even if it was just once, and just for a second. The brain is weird like that.

One theory of dreams suggests that dreams are a way for the subconscious mind to process daily events, fears, hopes, and aspirations. But that's just one theory of course, as there are multiple.

well since your mom met this person it could be a future boyfriend, but it could also be a past life or wish fulfillment [say you don't feel enough love in your waking life, or you wish to be in such a deep relationship] another option could be it's your male energy manifested. i grew up with a similar dream, where i saw a boy and we grew up together, have yet to meet him in real life. [eventually the dreams stopped when i started dating my fiance] without more information on the dreams i can only assume meaning, and i assume it means you either need more romance or love in your life, you need to embrace your male energy, or both [say if you're intentionally avoiding working with a male energy, or not do traditionally 'male' activities, you might consider meditating on these thoughts]
