Yes you can, but it is easier to write your own and learn how before you jump into spellwork.

Here is some advice for getting started in magic:

Meditate daily. Meditate at least ten minutes, for thirty days.
After those thirty days, begin meditation, followed by visualization, followed be meditation, for thirty days.
After those thirty days, meditate, then visualize, and practice energy manipulation for thirty days.

During this time, read. Know your plan in advance for what sort(s) of visualization you plan to try. Know what types of energy manipulation you plan to accomplish.

After that total ninety days, begin a nightly banishing ritual, for thirty days, in addition to the above.
Do a weekly cleansing ritual. It's a good way to close out your work week.

After those thirty days, begin a morning (energetic, not entity-based) invocation every day for thirty days.

After this now 150 days, you will be familiar with, and able to easily, meditate, visualize, raise and direct energy, cleanse and banish, and evoke energy for a purpose.

At that point, you may have researched the specifics of the working you plan to do. You will better know what aspects may or may not be best for your desired outcome, so you can change those parts.

So then, you will know what to cast, how, and will have the best chance of success.

To put the instructions above into a nutshell, the books Lark so often recommends have advice, and curricula, to establish a practice. Not every book is spells-based, as spells are not magic. Spells are a ritualized wish, which some people use to attempt to gain a magical result.
