Automatic Writing

Heyo everyone!

So recently, I've become interested in Automatic Writing . For those who don't know what that is, it's basically a way of channeling spirits. You can allow them to take over your hand to write, or you can write down your first thoughts and let your intuition guide you.

I was just curious if anyone here uses Automatic (Spirit) Writing in their practices?

If you do, what techniques do you use or what are some of your experiences?

I've actually never really tried automatic writing before, even though spirit work is one of my main practices. For some reason I just prefer going and meeting them in the astral instead of working with spirits here in the physical plane. I have used pendulums before though, which is a bit similar, and it worked relatively well for what I wanted at the time.

Have you tried out automatic writing yet?

I tried it once, but I messed it up because I started over-thinking everything. Since then, I've been researching, trying to learn more before trying again.

I also wanted to hear what others experiences were :)

Hello! Honestly I've never really looked into what this was called, but I believe I've been doing this and other similar things for quite awhile now. Since I was pretty young actually. I've awakened some psychic abilities when I first started dabbling in magick, and so I guess that helped!

When I was young and I wanted to know more about certain things, like myself as a person for example, I would get visions or still images in my mind and I would draw them out and as I drew them I would know more and more. As I've gotten older, sometimes I'll just think about something and somehow have the answer in my mind even though I didn't know it before. Many times this is what will happen. It's just a sense of "knowing" like something put that thought in your mind but you didn't think of it yourself. It's helped me a lot in my life.

The best advice I can give to someone learning to do this, is NOT to force it! It will make your mind jumbled and make you frustrated. I almost never try to do it on purpose and I will just get this feeling and I will know I'm about to get something. For someone learning, it's best to meditate a lot so you're able to calm your mind easier. When your mind is at peace and your thoughts aren't flooding through is when you can pick up what the spiritual being is trying to send you.

:)

Update: I attempted to do automatic writing again and this time I was much more successful. Anytime I started to over think I just stopped myself, focused on my breathing to go back into a meditative state, and then waited for my hand to move.

Some questions were answered, while new questions were created after I was finished, but that's okay, I'm just really happy with the progress I made :)

I really want to try automatic writing, but I'm to afraid of channeling negative spirits.

You should learn how to protect yourself first then :)
