when can you join a coven

I am new to the wicca world and I went to join a coven. how long do I need to be an active member to join one?

You can join at any time. Most don't require you be on the site for any specific period of time.

Raven's gate Coven is accepting new members. write out an application to Oroboros. Details are on the Raven's Gate coven page.

As stated by Lark, you can join a coven at any time, but some covens ask for some information, nothing personal, but information to help them get to know you as a person as well as a practitioner, but all of the required knowledge can be found on their group page. The only process that does require a timeframe would be applying to take over leadership of an inactive coven, but you can only do that once and it's after your account has reached 3 months old, just take a look through the "Groups" tab and read through the covens and see which interests you and follow the instructions to get into it, it's ultimately up to how the Priest/Priestess runs their coven group.
