Needing a reading

I need a reading from someone who is bias. How can I get a reading?

As far as getting a reading, there are people on this site who will do them, but be really careful because there are also some who will try to take your money for it.
But I can tell you how to do your own tarot reading for really cheap. All you need is a regular deck of card. This will only give you access to the minor arcana (wands, pentacles, swords, and cups), but for a lot of people that's enough. Each suit (hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades) represents a suit of the minor arcana. Some people might tell you it matters which is which, but I don't think it really does.
Then you just draw the cards and lay them out however you choose.

If you need help deciphering the cards beyond this, you can always just look up the number of the card you drew and the name of the suit you have assigned to it. There are a million sites that can give you a lot of detail for each card.

Using playing cards is cartomancy not tarot. Hile similiar in that they are both card based divinations, they are not exactly the same thing.

Well, I believe Tarot also falls under cartomancy.

I understand that they aren't exactly the same.. I was attempting to be helpful in offering ways for this person to perform their own readings. It is a similar technique, and if they feel they want to try with a real tarot deck at some point, I trust they know how to purchase one. I thought it would be more helpful to suggest ways they could do readings inexpensively.

Tarot is a cartomancy but all cartomancy is not tarot. Using playing cards is specifically called that on its own though.
