Hello, I'm est1986--
I am following the path of a Tameran witch, but I am relatively new to the Pagan community, so I have a lot to learn.
(Forgive me lack of knowledge about the terminology and words, I forget these things a lot. Go ahead and correct me if I a misuse a word or definition.)
I am starting a period of study on my path for a year and a day, which is what led me to make this post here because I figured it would also be a good time for an introduction.
A bit about myself-- I'm 14 years old, and have been actively interested in Wicca for about 3 or 4 months. I had been investigating the different paths on and off before, but admittedly I have only really been dedicated to it recently. I am a male witch (FtM transgender) and I go by male pronouns. I love to draw and write, and I am very interested in history, mainly the 1940's and 1980's around the world.
I'm not very good at writing introductions, so I'm sorry about that-- I think my intro skipped around a lot.
I decided to follow this spiritual path because while I am usually only very science-oriented in my beliefs, I find that Wicca for me provides a lot of positive messages and ideals that I can align with. Ancient Egyptian culture has always been an interest of mine, and their pantheon of deities is one that I find the most fitting.
I also really, REALLY am not in it to just hex Jenny from 5th grade. I think there is no sense in casting spells left and right on people to bend the world to your whim, because unless I'm mistaken, I think it's safe to say that's not what the idea of Wicca is. I hope to follow my path seriously.
The community on SoM seems very welcoming and friendly, and I think that's important to have. No one wants to be treated like Wicca is some sort of special club that only the "cool kids" can get into. So thanks for forming this pleasant environment! I really do appreciate it.
New here, hello!
