I don't know African traditions, nor do I know Lwa, but I did find this article interesting.

http://www.ezilikonnen.com/lwa-voodoo-spirits/ezili-danto/

What caught my attention was "Dantor can be wild, aggressive, and difficult to control. She is considered a “hot” spirit. For these reasons, one will at times hear her referred to as a djab. She is a country woman, independent and strong."

The article also talks about the child in her arms, if you are interested.

This could be your call to vodoun, maybe she wants you to get initiated.

Thank you both for your replies. I did read that same article last night looking for anything and everything I could look for on her based on how she revealed herself to me. There was some really good information there but I still don't get what she wants with me. I was thinking that maybe I was being called to be initiated but it's hard when you don't know anyone in the religion who can guide you, I am very much at a loss.

There have been cases of people being straight up initiated by the lwa, you can be initiated and learn from them straight up.

You can look to papa legba for answers, he's the main loa in vodoun, He's the crossroad spirit that brings you into contact with the other lwa.

Thank you again huehuehue. I used to work with Elegua when I had my ancestor altar up and he and I were great friends more like Father and daughter and he used to bring the Orisha to my ancestor altar which I heard was unorthordox back then. It didn't dawn on me that it would be the same smh. Thank you so much!

The Lwa are the intermediary spirits that practitioners of Vodoun and it's relatives serve and or work with primarily bt that of a Mambo, Oungan, or Bokor. The Lwa are generally divided into nations, tribes, and famililes.

If you wanted to learn more about them I suggest you start researching the Lwa and Vodoun.

Vodou is a religion that relies heavily on elders and the priests that have their own Sosyete.

I advice getting a Leyson (Haitian Vodou reading) from a reputable Houngan or Mambo. Usually this not only determines your spiritual court but can also reveal if you are meant to be initiated and which rank. I would always research the house and Priest if you are unsure if the person is a priest you can ask for their lineage and who initiated them. If they refuse to give their lineage then this isnt the best priest to get a reading from.

Yes Hue some people are initiated by a particular Lwa but that doesnt mean that you wait and let that particular Lwa as she takes only those whom she loves the most. I would seek out a Sosyete and learn from their lineage.

Vodou is work and not just sit back and let the spirits do everything they are not nannies and they will not always chew everything for you.

Initiation is taken always the traditional way and its not easy nor fast depending on the rank the spirits want you to initiate.

I always advice anyone new to this tradition to abstain from serving any lwa or making any altars that is not Attibon Legba or the ancestors.

I am not a Priest I speak from experience.

I wish you luck on this beautiful journey !
