A FLY BROOM???

The witch flying on a broom came from the old way of blessing the fields at mid summers. Basically you run through the fields with a broom between your legs and jump as high as you can while running. It is thought that this encourages the plants to grow.

drink a lot of liquor and hit yourself in the center of your forehead with a broom (about 600 times).
Eventually you will see it fly...

I think back in the day witches used Belladonna (very dangerous) to "fly" it gave them hallucinations. Witches also used a broom called a besom as a cleansing tool. As in cleansing a sacred space.

all kidding aside , brooms or besoms were meant to cleanse sacred space , But No-one can Fly a broom ,brooms do not fly , if they did we would have traffic jams not on high ways but in the air ...
