Whenever I write posts like this I feel like an idiot but here I go anyway.
The past few days I have had this strange thing happening to my body and consciousness (I think) where I would be doing any task at all and then literally everything would go blank. I would be walking and lose most of my sense and feel as if my soul was being lifted out through my head. I get this feeling doing g any task and it comes randomly. If I could compare this to something I would say that it is how I feel when trying to relax my body to do AP.

Sorry if that made no sense but it's really late where I am and I just thought of putting this on here.

i think this has something to do with possesion. do you feel like your body is moving on its own?

I would consider all mundane possibilities before jumping to magickal or spiritual ones.

It sounds a bit like dissociation to me. I have suffered from episodes of dissociation myself. It's also possible that you aren't getting enough sleep or aren't eating enough. Both of those can cause people to zone out and feel a bit disconnected.

I have heard that AP can feel a bit like dissociation, though, so it's possible that you're starting to get the hang of AP.

I would argue against possession. Cases of possession are few and far between, and almost every case has been proven to have been faked or have been a case of mental illness. It's highky debated whether or not possession even exists.

If this goes on, you may want to consider speaking to a doctor just to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the response
I only posted that on this website to see if what I was experiencing could involve some type of negative entity. Previously I couldn't think of how to describe what was happening and I only just thought of a way to explain it that Google would understand. I feel as if it is depersonalisation disorder (you were close). The Wikipedia article does a good job at explaining it. I believe it is the cause of my raising anxiety I have had for a while.
I am just a dumb kid who self-diagnoses these things but I hope to seek some sort of help or answers soon. I just need to talk to my parents.
Thanks for the help.

Well, dissociation is a symptom of that.

Anyway, I hope you can find a treatment that works for you. Anxiety isn't fun to go through alone. If you need to vent or anything, you can message me.

Good luck!

Self diagnosis can be very dangerous if you don't know what you're doing, and to be honest, most people don't know what they're doing when it comes to mental illness. If you want to look into that, then I would suggest explaining this to professionals (who will not take spiritual belief into account to remain as objective as possible). To be frank, most people here aren't properly equipped to discuss mental illness, let alone diagnose it.

Potentiality of that aside, I personally find this happens more often when I'm not getting the right nutrients that my body needs everyday (more-so in some areas if my activity increases). For me, it has nothing to do with possession because I don't feel any influential energy or presence (and I do work with spirits, so I can often make such distinctions throughout my daily activities if I'm paying attention).

Ah, thanks Stabby, I wasn't clear enough in that.

By all means, do actually talk to a psychologist about it. Though I have been reading about psychology for a few years, and have taken classes in it, I do not have a degree, so am in no means qualified to diagnose anyone. It simply may be something to consider.

It seems like it might be simpler than that. If you have ever tried AP then maybe your body and subconscious mind are getting the hang of it but your conscious mind isn't. You aren't controlling it yourself at any rate. Maybe you should allow it and just see where it 'takes you'. Maybe it's someplace you need to be. Or maybe your ancestors, your body, or your own subconscious are trying to teach you how to do it successfully. Whatever is the cause or diagnosis, you need your own control over it. Can't have those pesky disassociations, or AP's running amok in the middle of your congressional speech or something equally as important to you.

As I said before, these things happen to me when I don't eat enough of the right things to get my daily nutrition in. Personally, I'd start remedying that first.

After that, I'd suggest looking into altered states of consciousness. The more practice you have inducing ASCs, the more control you'll have over them (at a gradual rate that varies between people). Personally I feel these instances of "slipping" into a different state can be utilized for practices involving ASC and anything associated with it.

well for safety reasons you should go medical first, magickal second, so talk with a doctor to make sure it's nothing medically wrong. [could also be a lack of sleep or poor nutrition/not eating] the doctor can run a few tests and rule out any health issues you might have.

magickally, sounds kind of like astral projection. [i have this problem every year on Samhain, as i'm drifting off to sleep i can feel myself falling out of my body.] could also be an overactive crown chakra and an underactive root chakra. the root keeps us firm in the physical, the crown opens us to the divine. you should always start balancing your chakras from the root up, otherwise too much spiritual energy can overwhelm you. try doing various grounding techniques and see how you feel afterwards.
