So I have had several obe's and am always at a relaxed state and can relax deeply easily but I cannot seem to enter trance or vibrational state and when I do try to project I have my fan on and I do it at night i have even tried many other methods but I find just getting into the trance state hard as I cablnnot tell if I am in that state and I do not know if I started vibrating other than that i... well I don't know as I was able to force a dream or...something...recently but I need help also fear and excitement aren't really emotions I have and I don't know if this affects it but I'm an athiest that believes something is there but it either cannot be explained or is scientific
Btw I'm talking about random obe's and sometimes I can say travel to the future and as best as I can explain it time walking and I only see points in my life ahaed of me I cannot see what others futures are or if I try to move myself the dream stops it's kind of like watching a movie but in first person and I've had these experiences for as long as I can remember
Random out of body experiences happen. And they can most easily happen to the less experienced practitioner when asleep. And because a person is asleep, they can easily be mistaken with dreams where one has an experience and calls it a dream; or one has a dream and calls it an obe.
First off, I don't necessarily think that your spiritual standpoint on a higher power or deity has a factor in this.
I think you may need to reevaluate your position and try not thinking too much on it. You come here asking for guidance on it as you are having a problem. But doing so you have admitted to being rather mindful of the matter and focussing to much. Albeit an indirect admittance. Just relax. Don't think too hard or try to force it. Don't worry about what you need to do or what you are doing wrong. Just let be and let go. Know that you can do it.
If you are not already experienced with knowing how your energy and energy body feels, I would start working on that. If you dont have much practice on meditating and learning to become relaxed and more mindless then I would also suggest you work at that. Things come as they need to. But there are things you can do to help. Like working on basic meditation and energy work.
On a side note I'm personally not too sure about the time talking as time is relative to focal points of A to B. And otherwise don't have an existence in the world. Time doesn't flow. Energy transforms through growth and decay.
Well I have no problem relaxing and such but I'd just like to know if the vibrations are tingle vibrations or are like vibrations from a massaging chair
The time walking ones are not very common but I have them and then a few years after exactly what happens in them happen in real life too so I'm only slightly convinced on the whole see the future business but very skeptical about it
I also don't really get the energy idea on how to do it and where to find it
Be that as it may, you don't have a problem with relaxing. You don't quite know where energy comes from or how to use it.
What else would you like to know? Expressing energy and what to do is one thing, but I'm about sure there's more.
I just don't understand the whole energy aspect like I cannot remember steps of meditation easily I only really know to clear my mind and breath relax feel my body and whatever I'm touching and force myself slowly into the background I am nothing ... sorry that's just my way of meditating I suppose

you have said that you are an atheist, thats all well and good, but you should accept that there is a power out there greater than you
the whole vibrational/trance state thing... not important
one of the biggest problems i found, real world distractions, turn off the fan, close the blinds
also you dont really force a dream but its not hard to attain dream control
dreams are sub concious working through complex emotional issues that we deal with on a day to day basis and quite often we wake up wondering what the hell the dream meant, and if you gain the ability to control your dreams all you have to do is look at the dream from a different angle or even slow it down to understand what you have been missing
