First off,
Disclaimer:
I do not claim these to be my beliefs.
I do not claim these to be fact.
I do not claim them to be valid sources of information.

All that said, I will now provide some references so that I do not look as though I have an agenda to sway the minds of others into believing what I believe. I was just trying to help provide knowledgeable information.

“Then as we mature, various other aspects of Divinity take forms. Peer-type Gods and Goddesses that reflect the ideal adult self.
And some day, in our full spiritual maturity, we will go beyond the need to break down the Divine at all.
We can begin to worship the One, the Creative Essence, the Light which is ALL.”

both masculine and feminine.

Witches reject the masculine, patriarchal concept of God, in favor of older ideas. We do not see why a rigid monotheism should necessarily be a sign of human advancement, as it is generally taken to be. It seems more reasonable to us to conceive of divinity as being both masculine and feminine; and as evolving moreover a hierarchy of great beings, personified as Gods and Goddesses, who rule over the different departments of nature, and assist in the evolution of the cosmos.

There is not one “God and Goddess of Wicca”.
There is the Creative Life Force that is the basic energy of the universe. It is the unknowable force in the universe that all religion has been invented to try to explain.
Religion, Goddess and God are all human constructs that are tools to be used to understand the world as we know it.
The Creative Life Force is the Divine in all things. It works in polarities such as God and Goddess, Positive and Receptive, Force and Form, Ebb and Flow. It is neutral. There is no ultimate good or ultimate evil.
Each Goddess or God is a construct of humans trying to explain the world that we live in. We tend to model them after what we know. Just as we divide ourselves up into groups, Mother, Maiden, Crone, Youth, Sage, Father, Builder, Destroyer, etc. The ancients divided up the characteristics of their Gods like God of Lightening, God of the Sun, Goddess of Water, and Goddess of the Moon. We use them to explain what happens in the world around us. They are the personification of Nature.

===================

I was coming from that concept when I was saying that Lucifer is part of the father god, who is also part of the divine force, the all, the is.

Hope that clears things up a bit. I can provide more references if that will help.

Why so many people professing paganism and yet take on Christian teachings? Lucifer (Latin) or Heosforos (Greek) is a pagan god of Venus.

If Gerald Gardner was alive today,he wouldn't recognize the religion he began!
People will "cherry pick". Bits of this, bits of that.
I'm very lucky. I don't believe any of it.

Don't people do that with most things, though?
Other religions, for example.

Also, I could be wrong, but I don't think everyone here is Wiccan.

From my understanding, he didn't start the religion, not from scratch anyways. Instead he added to an existing covens belief system. He hand picked information from there, the masonic fraternity, hermeric magic, and Aleister Crowley.

Gardner is also a member of the O.T.O.(Ordo Templi Orientis). Fairly high up, if I remember. He also did some work with Vodoo.
That stuff wasn't until after he had already written his books on Wicca.

The point? Gardner choose to learn various practices and beliefs. He often swayed from his own path and into other paths.

Like many others, you have missed the point entirely. The idea was not Gardner's alone. There were others, including Crowley, adding weight to the idea. The idea was to get a Pagan religion accepted by the British Government. If one Pagan religion was made Lawful, it would "open the gates" to all the others!
The most condemned of all "Paganism" was witchcraft. So, yes, old beliefs, old traditions, old Gods and Goddesses, were "blended" with witchcraft. Those concerned, Crowley,Sanders,Gardner, and many others fought long and hard to get witchcraft made legal, Gardner had the best idea; start a new religion. And he did!

Even Gardner's books are not all they seem. Gardner was not a very good writer. He did not have anywhere near the writing skill of Crowley. By the time witchcraft was made legal (1951) a good writer was needed; and Crowley had died. But a good writer was found to "publish" Wicca. Doreen Valiente. And of course, the best advertisement of all for witchcraft, Alex Sanders.

Sorry if I gave the impression that I have a degree in Anthropology and study the ins and outs of the Wicca Religion and it's growth.

When I said "From my understanding" I was trying to give the impression that my knowledge was limited. I am sorry if that was confusing.

Also, what point was I trying to hit? I didn't gather that from your post.

As far as I am aware, this website isn't to preach on any particular religion or belief but to share and learn. Even the title of this post "Accept Lucifer as Lord" is preaching you're faith to others, not exactly something that should be done on a website where children linger. As Lark previously stated, Lucifer has no connection to the Wiccan religion; no matter in what way you wish to view it, sidestepper.

I am not going to weigh in regarding the acceptance or non acceptance of Lucifer; however, I will mention this: perhaps the title of this post was written as such because each thread title has a character limit and for whatever reason it was not written as a question such as "Accepting Lucifer as Your Lord?" With that though in mind I highly doubt that the author of the post was neither being pretentious nor forcing his or her beliefs on anyone.

I understand there are various differences in beliefs as well as opinions and to some it may offend people. But as this site is intended to share and discuss information we should not be concerning ourselves with the specific nature and critical analysis of how one communicates their quiestions or posts unless they are inherently disrespectful or violating rules of some sort.

Just because you interpret someones words in a post one way does not necessarily reflect the authors intent or meaning, they may just communicate differently then you or I are used to and this may seem like the author is coming off a certain way that may rub you the wrong way.

I do agree however that most things now whether they be religious, spiritual, fiction literature, television etc. has to some degree become an amalgam and blending of ideas and beliefs from various sources. All most everything we believe, think, and do is from to a greater extent an external influence or source. I am not saying we cannot think for ourselves and that we cannot each individually have original thought; I am however, saying that originality is an incredibly rare form if actually geniune.

Just my thoughts.
