You should use mental healing for stress. It is helpful for focusing yourself on a single task and relieving tension. It may also help with headaches and other tension related symptoms. It is simple and involves mostly relaxing techniques.
First, prepare a bath of warm water.
To this bath add one part sage, two parts lavender, one part cinnamon, and one part rosemary; just enough to have pleasant scent.
Immerse yourself in the water. Feel the tension from your body and mind flow into the water.
When you are immersed in the water, relax into a trance-like state.
Feel your positive energy flow through your body. You should feel your energy magnified by the water.
Sit in the water until it is no longer comfortable or cold. When you get out of the tub, you leave your tension and stress in the water. As the water washes down the drain, so does your stress.
When you get out of the tub you should feel relaxed and positively energized.
If you still feel tension, try a self purification.
Thanks Pheonix, this is something similar to what I do. I have tried bath meditation before. Sometimes when I'm sick I might take a hot bath and drink some garlic tea. You said "relax into a trance-like state." Would you mind telling how to do this? I imagine it involves focusing on breath and visualizing, but examples of what to do here would be helpful. People leave out a lot of finer detail on how that energy should be experienced, but I feel this makes a huge impact on the result.
Sounds awesome. Sometimes I do shower meditations and let the stress wash off me down the drain.

So glad to see I am not alone in meditation showers Neb! I usually visualize the stress literally washing off of me. It helps me calm down a lot.

I've also used a similar process for relieving myself of stress and negativity, but not necessarily with the same ingredients. I like using lemon or orange extract for these types of meditations.
In response to Darkshade's comment on how the energy process can feel like for slipping into a trance - like state, I personally visualize boarders around my mind that can make me blind to certain things, and when I'm trying to slip into a trance I expand these boarders. The way it feels to me is that as I'm pushing these boarders away, I'm more susceptible to various traces.
Not sure if anyone practices goetic magic. Here are some prayers for entering and exiting the bathing experience however quoted from one of my books.
Entering the bathing area
"I exorcise thee, O creature of water, by him who hath created thee and gathered thee together into one place so that the dry land appeared, that thou cast out from thee all the impurities and uncleannesses of the spirits of the world of phantasm, so they may harm me not, through the virtue of god almighty who liveth and reigneth unto the ages of the ages. amen"
Consecrate the bath salts and herbs
Exiting the bath
"El, strong and wonderful, I bless thee, I adore thee, I glorify thee, I invoke thee, I render thee thanks from this bath, so that this water may be able to cast from me all impurity and concupiscence of heart, through thee, O holy Adonai; and may I accomplish all things through thee who livest and reignest unto the ages of the ages. Amen"
Something I also like to do while bathing is turn on music that excites the chakras. Solfeggio frequancies work great for this. It is amazing for spiritual healing.
Very nice Remedy, I'll have to try that sometime. :) Or something similar.

Warm water does it for me for feeling sick from ill energy from people when it gets build up over time. The one thing I have done over the years to feel each emotion and build up a tolerance where my mental strain can control it.
