Like said by whiteraven, find out the intent of the spirit first,he might be helpful

Now if he is a dangerous spirit I recomend calling a priest to do an exorism,it helps to cleanse your home with sage and holy water

You don't know the intent I would suggest the offering and then clenasing of negative energy using sage and an combination of salt and herbs. But only negativity you don't want to get rid of anything that is protective.

I suggest the pendulum and not the Ouija board. Pendulums are tools that can be governed easily by magick, be blessed and consecrated. They have a long history of use among magick practitioners and you don't often see people outside of spiritual circles using them (only as dowsing instruments).

Ouija boards are promoted as a game and not at all sacred. They're a commercial product made by the same company that created Hungry Hungry Hippos. That in itself taints the energy of the object and what it symbolizes. If you insist on using one, I suggest crafting your own from scratch within a ceremonial circle with serious and reverent intention.

As for the pendulum, if you are not sure how to use one safely and accurately for spirit communication, feel free to PM me and I will give you instructions of the way that I was taught. I have done it for years. The first time I held a pendulum was at six years old. My aunt introduced it to me.

I wouldn´t consider using an Ouja board...ever.

You should see what the being´s intentions are first at foremost. Perhaps meditate a bit on it when you can´t be disturbed, perhaps whatever it is may join you..? If it´s been friendly up until the point you seem threatened, maybe you where overthinking?

Meditating has always been extremely difficult for me. I wish I could do t more effectively. I suppose it just takes a ton of practice like everything else. I try some more, thanks for the suggestion :)

And yeah, my mom bought me the Ouija board from Target a few years ago. I used it twice. The first time just really scared me but the second time, a woman came through and I got a very calm feeling about me. I had put up some protections and surrounded myself with certain crystals because I was nervous. That was before I knew of any other methods of communicating with spirits.

Oh and yes, the next morning, after the thing that freaked me out, I definitely thought I was overreacting. But I never want to assume things when it comes to spirits.

Just before you delve further into investigating, place up your circle, with a small offering just outside (I believe was mentioned before about an offering) Write down what you feel as you sit and ¨see¨ around you.

Concerning ouija boards, isn't what an object symbolizes in the mind of the individual practitioner? I think many would disagree that most otherworldly beings are so persnickety as to only respond favorably to objects personally made for direct use from the crudest of materials.

Most of us would probably find it very difficult to construct a ouija board ourselves solely from original nature given materials. Cutting wood and using paint would be very difficult if we couldn't use brushes and tools commercially mass produced. The Parker Brothers ouija board looks good and is ready to use right out of the box.

If the spirits you're in touch with are so uptight and easily offended, they need to get over themselves, and you should tell them as much if they give you attitude. I've met plenty of practitioners of magick who swear by mass produced candles they bought at Walmart, sometimes even bought on clearance.

If your instinct is to send him away do. Giving Tom a name gave him more presents, you broke the rules you acknowledged him gave him power. There is also a chance it's not Tom, it could be another darker spirit. There is nothing wrong with cleansing your home and trying to put spirits to rest, you're helping them move on. We can be influenced my many things in are lives, you don't want to risk a string of bad luck, bad days, depression because you let spirits stay around you and your loved ones.

hey Starin, we are same. In my home, there was spirit for many years too. I know about it from people that knows about ghost and something like that. My family and I never seen that spirit. But since i'm in junior high school there was a lot of sound that I can explain. In my house there is a place to pile firewood. And there, everyday there are many sounds. Like someone knocking cans, hit the firewood and play something. And when i'm alone, midnight or heavy rain, in front of my room like someone walk many times. And in the dining room like someone opened the magic jar. but there's no one there. but me and my family not afraid about it cause the spirit never show just make many sounds.
