Hexes and Curses

I am curious of what your view would be on the subject when it comes to Hexes and Curses, do you find the need to use them? Are Hexes and Curses the same thing to you? When do you find it necessary to "act" on a person who is seeking trouble? I really would like to know your views as there is surely very different opinions and views on the matter.

My personal belief:

I do believe that Hexes and Curses are two seperate things and are a bit different in a sense. I consider hexes to be more of a starting point before reaching the point of cursing someone, simply to "heat" the person up a bit or "lay out tricks". I believe a curse should be used in the worst of circumstances, not simply because a person is bothering you or calling you names. This is a point where the person becomes an actual enemy who is seeking to do harm to you and your household, which is where the an actual curse would come in. Even at this point, I believe one should attempt to bind the person from doing actual harm before moving onto cursing. In conclusion, a curse should be the last resort one arrives to due to the fact that at this point you will be attempting basically to heat every part of a persons life or turning everything they do into salt and water. I always say, casting a curse is easy but when it comes to removing the actual curse it is a bit complicated.

Im not against using such but I do so fairly rarely. Ive worked more at removing them then setting them. I find using them in acts of revenge or for selfish reasons to be petty for the most part. I would really only do such if I thought it would truly help others.
As for hexes and curses I do think of them as different things. usually I see curses as more permanent but they do share a function.

I believe as well that curses and hexes aren't the same thing.For me a hex is more of a work done to be seen as a warning,such as a "mirror spell" , while a curse is a work which creates a string of misfortune to a person for a long period of time.
Now the usings of hexes or curses varies to every individual,I personally use them only when there is a true warning from someone or when my family or friends may be in true danger.
Many teenagers look for curses or hexes just to make someone feel bad because he called him names which is not a good option or worst some of them just want to make someone feels bad without reason.
I personally suggest using a curse on someone just on a true danger from that person.

I define a hex as a simpler version of a curse, which could be cast at a quick instant, while a a full-on curse takes a bit more time to prepare, with more focused energy. I think that one should have the freedom to know exactly when and where a hex or curse is necessary, simply because we all have things that tick us off and different ways to deal with them. There are people who will perform powerful curses to those who have committed true wrong, and those who will hex a person for cutting them in line. Both are at the hands of the caster, so they'll know how to handle it. If I ever saw the reason to curse or hex, likely if someone I love is harmed, I'd take it gladly. Until then, I haven't cursed anyone myself.

I think curses are more powerful than hexes. Hexes are like the mini version of curses. I feel that I can use them when I see fit. I feel like there's really no wrong or right way on when to use curses or hexes.
